Lesson 2. Shopping for Materials

Here's a list of what you will need and where to get it. I bought my materials from Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Walmart, and Hobby Lobby. If you have these or similar stores nearby, this should be easy.

    Home Depot shopping list:
  • Polyester Fiberglass Resin Bondo (LIQUID, NOT PUTTY)...$24/gal.
  • Extra hardner...$2
  • A cheap caulk gun if you need one
  • Silica Sand Grade 4 (if they don't have it Ace Hardware will)...$6.00
  • 3/8" zinc washers...$0.15 ea. (buy 10 for now)
  • 3/8" allen head bolt...$1.25?
  • dust masks... Cheaper than the medical bills.

    Walmart shopping list:
  • 100% Silicone Caulk ...$1.99 ea. (get three and make sure it is 100% silicone)
  • Dixie Cups 5oz.
  • kitchen dish cleaning brush with plastic bristles (or use an old one like me)
  • toothpicks
  • thin foam sheets 3mm(crafts section)...$0.33 ea. (get three)
    Hobby Lobby list:
  • box of clay...$15
  • or a five pack of dry foam (the type for floral arrangements)
